DECEMBER 2014 WORSHIP MINISTRY EVENTS

* Friday, December 5th *
Golden Notes ~ Performance at 11:00 a.m.
Our Senior Adult Choir will be singing Christmas music at the Community Center at Bunten Road Park for the Gwinnett County Senior Citizen’s group.
* Saturday, December 6th *
Adult Choir ~ Gwinnett Place Mall Performance at 2:00 p.m.
Our Adult Choir has an hour long time slot to perform by invitation at Gwinnett Place Mall. The location will be at the main Mall Entrance (North side) near Lens Crafters on the upper level. Please come if you can, and bring some people with you!
From 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., our Adult Choir members will be setting up and singing most of the songs from their Christmas musical, “The Sounds of Christmas”. Soloists for this performance will be Sam Seaborne, Jennifer Jones, Jennifer Word, Richard Word, Fred Busby, Carol Taylor, and Darla Brannon.
(Note: Because of the logistical challenges of this performance and the short time frame allotted to our group, our Orchestra will not be playing to accompany the Choir. For this performance only, the Choir will be singing with accompaniment tracks. However, our full slate of musicians, including our Orchestra and Children’s Choir, will be with us for the presentation of our full Christmas musical, “The Sounds of Christmas” at FBC, Duluth, on Sunday, December 7th at 6:00 p.m.)

Our Adult Choir and Orchestra will be sharing at least one song from “The Sounds of Christmas” as a part of the regular morning service.

Our First Baptist, Duluth, Worship Center will be filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas.
Please arrive early in order to allow time for parking and finding a seat. Child care will be available for ages 4 and under at our Pre-school area downstairs.

The Golden Notes
1. Worship Service ~ 10:50 a.m.
In addition to congregational worship, this Worship Service will include Christmas music by our Golden Notes Senior Adult Choir as well as music from our Symphony of Keyboards pianists.
Some of our keyboard players will be accompanying congregational music as well as playing some special music, and our Golden Notes will be singing at least one of their Christmas songs during this service.

2. Symphony of Keyboards
6:00 p.m.
This special event will feature four grand pianos on the stage of our Worship Center, played beautifully throughout the evening’s presentation by our FBC Duluth keyboard artists.
Our pianists this year are: Karen Johnson, Kimberly Hawkins, Travis L. Boyd, Donna Babb, Margaret Murdock, Paul Carey, So Young Lee, and Asa Williams. Musical selections will include: Michael W. Smith’s “Gloria” for 4 pianos and organ, a new 4 piano arrangement of “White Christmas” by Travis L. Boyd, and much more glorious Christmas music as well as beautiful multi-player keyboard arrangements of beloved Christmas carols.
* Saturday, December 20th *
Posada Celebration ~ 6:30 p.m.
Adult Choir members who are in town will be singing their Spanish language anthem, “Jesus El Christo”.
* Sunday, December 21st *
Worship Service ~ 10:50 a.m.
This Sunday worship service will include The Lord’s Supper.
* Wednesday, December 24th *
Christmas Eve Service ~ 6:00 p.m.
Carols, Scripture, Christmas Songs, and Candlelight
